About Us
The Billericay Brewery was established in 2012 as the Billericay Brewing Company. We are a microbrewery with an adjacent pub and shop in the heart of Billericay. We brew a diverse range of beers, ranging from light to dark and bitter to sweet. Our micropub is open 6 days a week, with regular food and entertainment events on to keep you interested.
The brewery was the inspiration of our founder, lifelong beer lover, and home brewer, Trevor Jeffery. The first beer, brewed in 2012, was Mayflower Gold, now a fan favourite and regular SIBA award-winning beer.
A qualified chemist, Trevor, took a scientific approach to develop his beer recipes. Brewing was soon taken over by several brewers, and we’ve brewed over 50 different beers, many of which have gone on to win local and regional awards.
Founded as the Billericay Brewing Company, we expanded in 2014 and opened a micropub next door to our brewery, allowing us to sell draught and bottled beer on-site. In 2024, the Brewery came under the ownership of P&J Billericay Ltd. and was rebranded to the Billericay Brewery, which it remains to this day.
The Brewery’s team has grown from a single person, with staff responsible for not only brewing, but managing the company, shop and bar. While Trevor is no longer a part of the Brewery, we’re expanded our team to accommodate greater needs.
The majority of our team handle bartending, and also make a friendly face to come in and chat to. We regularly rotate staff, so there’s typically a different face behind the bar every night.
